The other day I was at home and waiting for my brother to come get out of the bathroom so we could go to the field and move some equipment from one field to another. While waiting I picked up a magazine on the floor, which turned out to be one of my sisters girly magazines. I read the editor's address at the beginning of it, and I was shocked and amazed at what I read.I will just give you this jist of what she said. Apparently she was driving out to get some fast food on a day like any other day, she was dressed casually in a turtle neck sweater with her hair pulled back etc, in her opinion not fancied up. While stopped at a stop light, a guy in the car next to her looked over and said to her "Hey, you look good", then drove away.
Now to me, this sounds like the guy was just giving her a compliment, if he was being an jerk he would have said more, or he would have said something more crude. He also obviously was not trolling because he just drove away after saying it. However this b*tch ranted on and on about how it was sexual harrasment. How he had invaded her personal space by making a comment that she didn't ask for or want. She then proceeded to explain that she can't really be all that mad, because after all guys just don't understand what girls want.
I couldn't believe my eyes while reading this. What kind of a world are we in if you can't tell a girl she looks good without getting smacked around about sexual harrasment. What's worse, is not only does this woman need a boot upside the head to knock some sense into her, she's spreading her bullsh*t propoganda to other young women, who after hearing people like her tell them these things long enough, will certainly act the same.
I am off my soap box now, but damn that article really upset me.
