I don't think that it was harrasment - but I do think she has a right to feel annoyed by it. The real deciding factor is: how did he say it? Did he say it in a normal voice? If he did, there is no reason for her to feel upset. If, on the other hand (and believe me, this does happen) he had that deep assholish growl in his voice and he cocked his eyebrow and he was like "Hey BABEEEE, you look GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD" - not harrasment, but definately not what most women want.

I was an avid reader of YM while I was growing up - and yes, the content is crappy - believe it or not we used to buy those magazines to laugh at them - I was also an avid reader of Rolling Stone at the time. I think the 'adult' versions of those girly magazines are worse: You know, those women's magazines with all those stupid headlines about sex. I've never seen so much crap on newsstands. When I was 15 I noted in a store one time that at least 1 headline on each of those magazines had something to do with sex. A magazine article can't have a life changing effect on your sex life - I don't know if anything can - but that's what they're selling. (Along with a billion pictures of male & female models and tv stars)

Anyways - the point is -
a: all women want different things anyways and
b: most magazines have an element of crap, some just have more than others and are geared towards different demographic denominations
