 | Jun 20, 2003 - Downtime | Spitfire |
| | Whoops...had about a day of downtime there (if anyone noticed). My ip changed for the first time in over a year! Anyhow, should be back to normal now, and since
I'm delivering this message I'd might as well do a full update with it.
What a busy, busy summer this year! I have arrived at the point in my life where, one by one (or two by two, I suppose), many of my friends are getting married. And as nice as that is IT SURE
FUCKS UP MY SUMMER! I mean sheesh, I only have one opportunity to use my boat between now and August 15th! Hmmm well I'm sure this 'trend' will wear off over the next 10 years sometime. In addition to
this my partner in crime at work is leaving so I'm stuck with having to hold the fort down until they re-hire his position, and *I* train him. This means no hollidays for me until mid-July at the earliest. But don't
worry Kujo, I can still swing July 11th for YOUR WEDDING :P.
Okay, now onto the content (which is why you all read this site anyhow - right?). First of all, check out the new comic today, it's truly
delicious.
I haven't posted a video on here for a very long time, so I suppose it's overdue. So have a look at this sweet cigar commercial, before checking
out this awesome x-ray.
Hmmm - wow, I'm actually running out of things to say/post - so that's all the content for today!
Last but not least - here's a blonde moment for everyone to share.
|
|
Now to the important stuff - it's Blue4130's birthday part today (his actual bday was yesterday) and it's going to be at the Scuz, so if you'd like
to join the RBlords crew there, we'll be there around 9:00, or slightly before. Rumor has it that YC may even grace us with his presence tonight, so it will
indeed be a special night. Shit - that sounded way too gay. How about "Sounds like YCs going to be there - party at the slut factory, all the boobs you can eat". Yeah thats better.
And that's it!
| |
 | Jun 15, 2003 - Ok, time for the _June_ Update | Spitfire |
| | I guess I'd better do at least one update for June - so this will be it. Why am I being so lazy? It's summer, and there are better things to do! Plus,
I figured I would give my best shot at staying on the bottom of Unit3's new gateway page.
However, soul_d informed me that this was pretty much impossible, because that title is already held by mrp and probably
isn't going to change anytime soon!
 |
Anyhow, onto business. What's new? JayB had his 'tron' party last weekend - if you don't know what that is, it's time
you watched the movie Fubar. It was indeed good times - a lot of shotgunned Pilsner, some two-liners, a
burned lawn chair and even some 10 speed bikes ramped over the fire. Blue4130 and myself
learned how difficult it is to carry a sixer of Pil on a 10 speed bike with no brakes - Larmal complained a lot about the bot flies he contracted from his trip to Budapest, and YC
partied hard for a couple hours, then dissapeared into the night never to be seen again. Once again - good times.
I can't stress enough how much you need to check out this link. Maybe it's one of those things
that only *I* find funny, but at the very least I think that DP needs to check it out. For the rest of you, check out this awesome mailbox!
Hmm...what else? There's a new comic today - so check that out.
|
For those of you who watcher survivor and got really cheesed off when they pixelated out all the nudity, you will finally have your chance to see Jenna and Heidi nude. That's right, looks like
they will be posing for playboy (big surprise). Man, who needs to win the contest?!? This just proves once again that if you're hot, getting rich really aint that hard! Also - if you're in the army, getting laid
aint that hard either!
That's it for now - sorry for the lack of updates, but don't expect much more until the end of summer. I'm back on the 1 update a month diet...w00t!

 | May 30, 2003 - Watch out SARS - here comes WEST NILE! | Spitfire |
| | No updates? WHAT? No content? WHAT?
Ok ok, I'm slacking. What can I say - spring is here. The weather is nice, the mosquitos are glorious and Dog Pound and Audiophile
are no longer around to cramp my style. Also Blue4130 moved into my basement suite right now and is currently keeping all of the ants/spiders/millipedes company. Amongst all of those good times,
I also managed to find time (and money) to rototill the back yard, install underground sprinklers and then lay down sod. All work and no play makes Spitfire a hungry boy.
Another piece of news in my life is that my partner at work (that sounds so freakin gay) has accepted another job with the corporation, so I am now the most senior P/A in my section. W00t - that means a better desk and a lot
MORE POWER. Mooohahaha. Anyhow, they will be re-hiring his position, and that lucky new employee gets to work with me - so before all of you start clawing for your phone to see when the posting comes up, it won't be for a
couple weeks. My boss has expressed his concern in wanting to find a sexy blonde to fill the position - so I think that _SPACE_ should apply because she is one
of those things (unless she recently dyed her hair).
So...I already mentioned that Dog Pound and Audiophile left for BC last sunday - you can read all about their
adventures (more or less) on their respective webpages. Since I'm a bit too lazy to type out the links - check out the side bar at the bottem. It was truley sad to see Audiophile finally
departing - it's hard to believe that he was only here for 3 years (almost to the day). I'll miss our Taco Slime lunch trips and all of his fine audio advice. I guess this just means that we all have another excuse for a big roadtrip sometime to
visit.
Let's talk some dates here - call me pathetic, but I've already pencilled down the dates for this years anual Hot Tub party - this is the anual event which soul_d started years back.
How did it end up at my place?
|
|
Well, as the party grew every year I noticed soul_d was becoming more stressed out over extra people showing up, and people making
noise out on the street, etc...so I thought I'd give him a break last year and let him enjoy himself. In addition, I had a new house and wanted to break it in (along with my new deck) so it worked out great. ANYWAYS, the date this year
is going to be Aug. 8th and 9th - so make sure your free those days and plan on stopping by, it should be a great time.
But that's enough blablabla - time for some content. We have a new comic today that you should all have a look at. After that - in the weird world news category - have a look at the new
world's largest cookie. Mmmmm good stuff.
 |
Kujo figured it was time to send in a shitpile of content....so bear with me here, I'll post most of it now and some later. First of all - for all of you case modders out there, ever thought of
building a fish tank into your case? Or maybe turn your computer into a planter?!? I can't decide if that dorky, or just
plain retarded.
What a great day for environmentalists everywhere! Apparently some company has designed a Disposable DvD which expired over 48 hours - in an effort
to eliminate the 'stress' of renting movies.
And last but not least....eek...I just don't know what to think about these except that, for some reason, I can see Fredish wearing one. I wonder what the hell
they look like under a shirt?!?
|
Whoa - take a look at that picture up there and tell me it doesn't make you dizzy! Click on it for a bigger sample - makes me feel drunk.
Ok THATS IT.
Time to get back to work - things are picking up now that we're losing one of 'the guys'.
So somebody go stir something up on the RBlords Discussion Forums. Maybe poke fun at YC because
he's too busy to visit this site anymore.
Also check out the Cam Portal - you can see my basement by looking at the Photogeek cam!

 | May 21, 2003 - Back from da Crik | Spitfire |
| | Well, after a windy weekend full of drunken debauchery - we're all BACK FROM DA CRIK.
If you haven't already read about our adventures on Demoni.ca or Soul_D Online or Popcorn Pimpin or DogPoundLand, make sure
to check them out. As for my side of the story, I'll keep it breif. Unfortunately I'm not aware of any pictures taken this past weekend - not even by our own photogeek -
so you can't even blame me for not posting them this year. There WAS some video taken, although I'm not sure any of it was all too interesting. We're all growing up and becoming far to well-behaved...it may have just been me,
but that "Let's wreck Pike Lake and give the COs hell" attitude wasn't exactly present this year at Eagle Creek - probably because we weren't given any trouble...at all.
The Creek itself was a nice campground, much less commercial than Pike Lake but also much less occupied. I have to say I missed being surrounded by various other parties...the only other party out there was a group
of 14-16 year old Asquith kids who couldn't comprehend shotgunning beers. It was nice to have an actual Creek right alongside our campsite...especially once Blue4130 and
myself managed to aprehend and usurp a crappy paddleboat to adventure down the rough waters. Oh yeah, and Tyrac did NOT fall in the Crik. So yeah, you might see some video footage and you might not - depending on
whether or not we caught YC barfing on camera.
|
Looks like the comics have started rolling in again! Today our feature comic was drawn by none other than
Regland the Great. This is a rare occasion, so you should probably check it out.
Other news is that Kujo will be coming to Saskatoon for his bachelor party this weekend. Hmm, that reminds me I have to phone him and make sure he has
a ride down here. Anyhow, if you're got a 3 legs and you know him (or at least think you do) then contact me for information about where we will be
going / what we will be doing / what we will be drinking. And to cut down on the number of emails, I'll tell you now: there won't be strippers. Hey, it wasn't my decision!
|
Have a look at that quad picture up there, that's what Unit3 drove all the way up from Regina with this past weekend. Should
have seen the look on those 16 year old faces when we did a few drivebys. Good times!
I should also mention (for those of you from the old 19th Street BBS days) - I've finally added some hillarious polls to our Discussion Forum. I simply
copied these out of old polls that were on the BBS 5 or 6 years ago. They're great for a laugh - but if you don't understand them, then you obviously weren't around when they were written!
That's it for today - I've got more crap and more comics to post in the next couple days so stick around!
| |
 | May 15, 2003 - also.. | Spitfire |
| |
oops, in my rush I accidently posted yesterday's content prematurely. I meant to explain exactly that gives with that picture I posted - if you haven't figured it out
yet its a bit of an optical illusion - can you see the baby?
Also congrats to soul_d for finding a secret Irish pub - I know how hard this can be. Especially when you can only
carry 8 bombs at a time, and those damn blue octorocks keep harassing you.
| |
 | May 14, 2003 - Offloading some content... | Spitfire |
| | Well - it's time to offload a shitpile of content, because I haven't done so in quite awhile and it's really piling up. If you're looking for info on the Eagle Creek
trip, see the previous update for a map. Nothing is changing, everyone is welcome. See you there!
Before I get to the content, I'd like to mention that my friend Colin managed to find his bike (after the big party last thursday). By tracing the route he
'should have' taken home he managed to come across a few apartment buildings that looked familiar - and behind one of them was his (very muddy) bike -
still intact, with the exception of a slightly warped rear tire. I said it before and I'll say it again - good times.
It seems that people have gotten bored with the 'make your own comic' feature, as I haven't received a 'quality'
comic for some time now. Yes, I have been receiving the odd craptacular shitpiece of unoriginal 'art' - but most have not been worth putting up at all. NO MORE COMICS
OF STICK PEOPLE SIMPLY THROWING UP. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Anyhow, I am hereby challenging The Saint to send in a comic of Jedi proportions!

Better take a look at this article about
instituting regular porn shows in old age homes. Hope I can look forward to this when I end up in one!
Here's a picture I'm sure everyone will enjoy. It's funny because it's true. I also think that this picture is hillarious.
Mostly because it reminds me of Dog Pound. It's probably because the guy is smoking.
Alright there you go. If you need more entertainment please swing by the forums or visit one of my affiliates: _SPACE_,
Photogeek, 71malibu.com, DogPound Land,
Popcorn Pimpin', and Regland. Wow, my little RBlords family is growing...I can remember when it was just *this* big.
Oh wait you can't see me, never mind.

 | May 12, 2003 - Eagle Creek | Spitfire |
| | Ok, the may long weekend is coming up quickly - only a few more days actually. So those who haven't heard yet, we are going to Eagle Creek for sure.
My plan was to make out a map to put on rblords, but my problem is that I haven't been there for quite awhile either so I don't know EXACTLY where it is. However
with a roadmap and the directions it should be very easy to find. Digest this:
Eagle Creek is located 35km West of Saskatoon on Hwy #14 and 22km North on Hwy #376.
Click here for a basic map showing you the directions.
You'll notice I didn't mark exactly where Eagle Creek is on that map, and that is because I'm not entirely sure. However make sure you remember
this: Once you turn off of highway 14 (thats the highway that comes out of 22nd street) and onto highway 376, STAY ON THE PAVED ROADS. There
will be numerous gravel roads but don't take them, there are paved roads all the way to Eagle Creek. So as long as you stay on HW376 you will eventually see
signs, it really shouldn't be a big deal.
Make sure to brush up on your RTC skillz - we've got a new lake/creek to conquer! For questions/discussion about the may long
weekend make sure to take a look at the Discussion Forums. See you all at the lake!
