: : : Oh ya clay, i wanted to tell you before, when your racing your car you will get better traction if you leave the suspension on the softest setting you can. Tight suspension is good for high speeds but for launch you want soft suspension so you don't spin as much. So how much did those tires ding ya for?
: : With a tight suspension, not as much power is lost in the weight transfer to the rear, no? I mean, kinda like how people put their car batteries in their truck so that there isn't so much weight that has to shift to the rear of the vehicle before it can take off. With a tight suspension this shift doesn't take so long because it is more rigid.
: : I dunno, thats what I thought anyway :)
: : And the tires cost $159 a piece installed I think...
:
: I guess it depends, if you are spinning out off the launch you want more weight to transfer to the back so you have more traction, tight suspension won't allow that so you'll just spin. Moving the battery to the trunk just makes the weight transfer happen faster because there's less weight to lift at the front of the car. If you can drop the clutch and not peel out then it won't matter.
I can't peel out with these new tires, well... not without seriously trying and I don't want to totally kill my clutch. With my other tires they would spin but not these...
