You know YC, I just gotta ask, why all the ranting and raving about religion anyway?
Are you feeling left out of society because you have no faith in a greater power?
Why is it you keep beating the same dead horse all the time?
Why is it you require physical, tangible proof of the existence of a God or a greater place beyond our physical existence?
It takes a strong person to hold onto their beliefs and persevere, especially in the world as it is. But it takes an awfully weak and ignorant one to turn a blind eye and believe that they themselves are the greatest power in the universe.
If you think for two seconds that you get by all the troubles the world throws at you by yourself without some influence or help by a greater power, you're sadly mistaken, and I really feel sorry for you.
I don't mean this in an insulting fashion YC, I just think that one day you'll have something happen that's going to open your eyes, and you'll see why others and I think the way we do.
I'm not saying you should run out and become a born-again Christian, but maybe just try to understand our ideas and beliefs a little before pounding some of this mindless prattle out on the keyboard.
